A WARRINGTON band with a nostalgic sound of 1960s soul has signed to a record label and releases its first single next Monday.
Cheap Cuts has signed to Bright Red Records and their new double A side is “A Message of Support for Our Boys” and “1,2,3 Heave Ho!”
Their music is described as “witty kitchen sink sagas and a light-hearted view on modern, broken, bankrupt Britain.”
The band are Gareth Roberts (vocals/guitar), Joe Forshaw (bass/vocals), Joe Bennett (drums/vocals) and Chris Gallagher (keyboards/vocals).
Live highlights for Cheap Cuts include gigs with Florence and the Machine, Kid British and The Chameleons. They have also been selected to do a number of in-store appearances for Liam Gallagher’s fashion label Pretty Green.
Locally they played the Main Stage at this years’ Warrington Music Festivals (summer and winter), played a sold-out gig at Lymm Festival in July and are playing the B-Fest in Lymm on September 29.
The band will also play at the first Warrington Pride event in September.
