Online library service

LIVEWIRE – the new name for Warrington’s leisure, library and lifestyle services – offers a round-the-clock online search facility for books, talking books, CDs, DVDs and items in the local studies collection.
Users can search 24 hours a day, seven days a week – and reserve items online and choose which of the town’s libraries to collect them from.
They can also check what items they have on loan, renew items and check the progress of reservations.
It is also possible to access dictionaries, the Encyclopaedia Britannica and more than 170 national, regional and local newspapers.
A new download library offers free eBooks which, once downloaded, can either be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including the Apple iPad, Sony Reader and many others.
iPhone or android smart phone users can download a free app called BookMyne which can be used to search and request stock and access individual library accounts.
Join LiveWire libraries at www.facebook.com/warringtonlibs to receive posts of upcoming events and special offers in libraries or on Twitter and follow @WarringtonLibs to get short, timely messages from LiveWire libraries.
