
WARRINGTON Wolves returned to the top of Super League with a convincing 42-10 victory over Hull KR at the Halliwell Jones Stadium as full-back Brett Hodgson returned from injury for his first start of the season with a perfect seven conversions from seven attempts.
The Wolves led 18-0 at the break thanks to three tries from Chris Riley (13) Chris Bridge (22) and Ryan Atkins (33), with Hodgson adding the extras.
The visitors threatened a brief revival crossing twice with out reply in the second half through Lovegrove (43) and Hall (56) with Dobson adding one conversion but Warrington stepped up a gear with four unaswered tries.
Riley (pictured top) added his second on 62 minutes, followed by a Ben Westwood brace on 73 and 75 minutes as Atkins added his second on 78, with Hodgson adding all the extras, as the visitors ran out of steam.
After the match Head of Coaching Tony Smith said he had been particularly impressed by the defensive qualities of his team in the first half.
