A WARRINGTON school re-opened today after being forced to close yesterday because of a local power failure.
Pupils at Birchwood CE Primary School were back at their desks after their unexpected day off because of the failure, which left the school without light or heating.
A spokeswoman for Warrington Borough Council said parents had been kept informed of the situation. Repairs to the power system were finally completed last night.
