King loses his crown!

WARRINGTON Wolves’ star Matt King is sporting a new look after his infamous mop of hair was shaved off.
Kingy offered Wolves’ fans the chance to win a unique opportunity to cut his hair in aid of local charity Families United – and the hair-raising fundraiser was a huge success.
Matt’s hair got the chop at Johnson’s Hairdressing but the charity, which supports disabled children, their families and carers, benefited to the tune of £1245.60.
Jill Oakes from the charity said: “I’m speechless. This money means we can provide events throughout the year by using the funds for our Kidz on the Move Appeal. Families and children with disabilities can now get to enjoy a range of activities and fulfil their full potential.”
Anita Williams from Warrington was the lucky fan who won the chance to shave off the famous hairstyle.
She said: “I couldn’t believe it when they read my name out. I don’t normally win an argument never mind something like this. I’ve loved it. It was an amazing experience even though I was a nervous wreck before we started.”
Hairdresser Shelley Chester, of Johnsons, supervised the cut and said Anita was “a natural”.
Matt said:: “It feels much better now. I’m pretty happy that it’s all gone. I was overwhelmed by the interest shown. Families United will have got a lot of coverage from this which will raise the awareness of the charity significantly. It’s been a great success. It’s the people at Families United that do the good work and it’s been a privilege to have played some part in it.”
