ADULT students, who have recently returned to education, were rewarded for their work at an awards ceremony at Priestley College, Warrington.
Eighteen students have completed the Higher National Certificate in Advanced Practice with work with Families and Children, during a two-year study programme provided by Salford University, Sure Start in Warrington and the college.
The award allows students to practice in Early Years and Health and Social Care related fields at management level.
The Level Five qualification is a new addition to Priestley’s syllabus.
At the ceremony former teacher Coun Celia Jordan, an executive member of Warrington Borough Council, handed out certificates to the students and spoke of her experiences studying and teaching.
Bev Devlin, curriculum manager for the area, said: “Our graduates have been such an inspiration to others, to sample, and sign up for learning that will improve their lives, transform their careers and help them to enjoy the many benefits.
“For them, their graduation marks the culmination of many years of hard work and although it is the end point of one stage in their life it is also the beginning of an exciting and promising future.”
