WARRINGTON residents are being given the chance to quiz their local beat bobbies at a number of community meetings.
People living in the areas covered by Warrington South Neighbourhood Policing Unit and Warrington West Neighbourhood Policing Unit are being urged to attend the next set of meetings in their area.
They can talk to their local Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers and discuss any issues of concern – whilst also helping to play a part in deciding the priorities for local officers for the coming weeks.
Inspector Sarah Edgar, of Warrington South NPU, said: “We would encourage as many people as possible to attend the meetings to discuss any issues of concern and to help set the policing agenda for the coming weeks.
“We want to target the issues that are really affecting the local community and this is the chance for local residents
to come along and have their say. We can only take steps to make things better for residents if they are prepared
to talk to us.
“It is also a great opportunity for residents to meet their local officers and put a face to a name.”
During the meetings officers will also be giving feedback on what they have done to target issues raised at previous
meetings.
Residents will also have the chance to talk to officers and representatives from partner agencies about any issues or
concerns in their area.
Inspector Edgar added: “It is important that we work in partnership with other agencies in the local community and the meetings allow us to refer matters on to other agencies if it is more appropriate for them to address the issues.”
The next Stockton Heath Community Action Meeting takes place at Sandy Lane Centre, Sandy Lane, on Friday September 19 at 7pm.
The next Appleton, Stretton and Hatton Community Action Meeting takes place at Appleton Parish Hall, Dudlow Green Road, on Tuesday September 23 at 7pm.
The next Great Sankey North meeting takes place at the Tim Parry Community Centre, Wroxham Road, on Wednesday September 24 at 7pm.
