YOUNGSTERS are being given the chance to relieve themselves of summer holiday boredom by training for a “mini Olympics.”
Warrington Collegiate will be running a special sports camp throughout the summer break for boys and girls aged eight to 11.
Activities will include football, rounders, basketball and cricket as well as Olympic themed

Children can drop in on the sports sessions on a day-to-day basis as there is no six-week commitment required.
Activity camp leader Dominic Mahon said: “We have put together a six week package of activities to encourage kids to enjoy sports in an enjoyable and safe environment.
“Every parent will know that there always comes a day in the summer when you can’t think of what to do with the kids, so we are here to give them a full day of fun and healthy activities.”
In addition to the sporting pursuits, children can also take part in arts, crafts and quiz activities.
The scheme costs £10 per day and will start on July 24, finishing at the end of August. Activities will be open from 9am to 4pm.
