Woman who means business

A NEW way of dealing with women entrepreneurs is being introduced by a Warrington bank.
A series of Woman in Business Ambassadors have been appointed with the aim of helping women “achieve their dream” of running their own successful business.
Cheryl Mills, of NatWest in Warrington, has joined the team of ambassadors for the North West. The team was formed as RBS Group, which includes NatWest and The Royal Bank of Scotland.
She said: It’s really rewarding to be able to help local women realise their dream of running a successful business.
“Right now I know there are women out there with a great business idea but who lack the confidence to take it further. I know I can help them overcome the initial hurdles and set them off on the right track.”
Cheryl will provide free face-to face advice to Warrington businesswomen and information about the town’s business community. She has experience in supporting small businesses and has completed specific training on working with female customers.
The service was launched in response to the continuing lack of female entrepreneurs in the small business sector, with women currently representing only a third of those self-employed in the country.
