Millipedes in wellies!

0

ROCK star silkworms and millipedes that wear wellies are two of the creatures that will feature in poems at a Warrington festival.
Performance poetry duo Penelope Page and Gabby Mouth, known as We Are Poets, will perform at The Party in the Park at Queen’s Gardens in Warrington on Saturday (June 28).
The event celebrates National Insect Week, The National Year of Reading and Cheshire’s Year of Gardens and will have a creepy crawly insects and bugs theme.
So Penny and Gabby will incorporate the themed poems into their usual mixture of limericks, rhymes and action poems.
There will be a range of activity in the free festival which runs from 12noon to 4pm.
Other attractions include street theatre, giant stilt walking bugs, art workshops, a bug trail and lots of healthy food and drink.
Further information about the event is available by email from museum@warrington.gov.uk or by telephoning 01925 442 889.
