New fencing at last!

WARRINGTON residents have welcomed new fencing to protect youngsters accessing the River Mersey following a four year campaign.
Local Councillors Kevin Bennett and Yvonne Fovargue have welcomed the new fencing at Paddington Bank, having first been alerted to the need in 2004.
Coun Yvonne Fovargue said: “We have been plugging away for this stretch of fencing to be renewed since 2004.
It certainly has been a case of ‘If at first you don’t succeed, try try again’.
“The old fencing really did need replacing. It was damaged in parts and was a health and safety concern for
local families with children given the proximity to the River Mersey.
“The fence serves to give reassurance to parents as well as helping to improve the local area.”
