School organises fun run

A WARRINGTON school is giving residents the chance to get fit and raise money for a charity of their choice at the same time.
Birchwood High School will be holding a fun run on June 22, with anyone allowed to run for a charity of the choice.
The run coincides with a visit from a South African school as part of a bi-annual commitment, which has seen the schools meet for the past four years.
All runners from the school will be raising money for a cricket tour in July when the secondary school from Groenburg in South Africa take on Birchwood in Warrington.
On the day of the event there will be music, dancers, a coffee bar and a guest appearance from Warrington Wolves mascot Wolfie.
For more information regarding the event, contact the school directly on 01925 853 500, or log onto their website www.birchwoodhigh@warrington.sch.uk to download an application form.
