POLICE are urging Warrington residents to be on their guard as two heartless thieves struck in the town.
The pair, claiming to be from the water board, gained access to a property in Marsh House Lane and made off with a quantity of cash.
Officers are now reiterating advice to residents to always ask for identification from anyone who calls claiming to be from a legitimate company.
They are also saying that there is no such company as “the water board.”
Anyone with any information about the two men are asked to contact Police immediately on 0845 458 0000.
