School's keep fit message

GET fit and have fun – that is the message coming from a Warrington high school hosting a five kilometre fun run this June.
Birchwood High School is appealing to local residents to dust down their lycra and pull on their running shoes to take part in the event to be held on June 22.
Suitable for families, the run will tour much of the Birchwood area and will mainly be off-road.
With age categories from under 11s to over 60s, there is no excuse not to take part.
Joanne Kinnaird, director of enterprise at the school, said: “For those keen runners amongst you this is a good opportunity for a short jog around the block and for those of you that might have needed some encouragement to get out your lycra and build your fitness this maybe a good goal.”
Anyone wishing to take part in the run can pick up a form from the high school, or contact them on 01925 853 500.
