A PIONEERING sight loss service is coming to Warrington to offer blind and partially sighted residents a helping hand.
Action for Blind People’s mobile Sight Loss Service will be stationed in Horsemarket Street on Wednesday May 24 and Friday, May 26 between 10am and 4pm.
Packed with the latest equipment for blind and partially sighted people, including talking microwaves and vibrating bank note detectors, the mobile will provide residents with the latest information about the help that is available.
Robert Harris from Action for Blind People’s Sight Loss Information Service said: “Everybody is welcome to come along to visit us on the mobile. Whether you are visually impaired or know somebody who may be having problems with their sight, please pay us a visit and pick up information or ask us questions. Visitors can try out a wide range of daily living aids or the latest computer and magnification technology.”
Anyone who cannot attend to the mobile can still contact the Action for Blind People’s dedicated hotline on 0800 915 4666.
