POLICE seized a haul of drugs and knives after raiding two addresses in Warrington.
Cannabis and various bladed items were discovered by officers when they executed a search warrant at a house in Birchwood.
A 19-year-old, from Birchwood, later received a street warning for possession of cannabis.
Officers executed the second warrant at an address in the Culcheth area. A quantity of cannabis was seized and a 28-year-old man, from Culcheth, was given a street warning for possession of cannabis.
Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers worked together to gather intelligence in relation to the warrants.
PC Gareth Yates said the Birchwood raid would not have been possible but for intelligence gathered by local PCSOs.
“This shows just how important their role is within the local community.”
The local community had also played a part in providing vital intelligence about drug use.
“We would urge the community to continue providing us with this sort of information. By contacting us they are helping us to build up a bigger picture of what is happening in the area,” he added.
PC Chris Barnes said: “We will continue to work closely with the community and our partners to gather intelligence and act upon it. We hope this sends out a strong message that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated.”
Police can be contacted on 0845 458 6390 and messages are regularly checked.
