Lorry fire on trading estate

FIRE crews were called to a trading estate at Warrington early today when fire broke out involve a heavy goods vehicle.
The blaze was at the Barleycastle Trading Estate in Lyncastle Road, Appleton Thorn shortly after 5.30am.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using two hose reel jets.
The vehicle’s engine unit was then damped down with a hose reel jet.
A fault in the engine was blamed for the incident.
Fire engines from Stockton Heath and Appleton were involved in the operation.
