WARRINGTON Town FC Chairman Gary Skentelbery has stepped down after nearly four years at the helm.
Due to increased business commitments at his own company, Skentelbery, (pictured) will move from his current role as Chairman to a new role as Director of Community Affairs while fellow director Richard Sutton will move from his current post of CEO to Chairman.
Meanwhile Director of Football and Operations Toby Macormac will take on a new role as Managing Director of the Club and Community Ltd businesses.
Skentelbery said: “It has been an honour and privilege to be Chairman of my home town football club but I need to focus on my own business commitments. I remain totally committed to the Warrington Town cause and a member of the board and I will continue to raise the profile of the club in the local community to the best of my ability.
“The club is in the best position it has ever been, flying high at the top of the league and hopefully will continue towards our ultimate goal of promotion at the end of the season.”
Macormac said: “Gary has given an unprecedented amount of commitment to the clubs cause in the last few years and has been instrumental in the progress which sees the club currently top of the Evo Stik North League and we are glad that he is able to continue as a director in his new role.”
Macormac added: “We are confident that the restructuring will underpin the clubs progress in delivering its exciting plans and realising its full potential of becoming a Football League Club in the coming years.”
