Firefighters called out to van fire at Great Sankey

FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a van fire on Sycamore Lane, Great Sankey, Warrington, earlier today.

On arrival at 10.20am the crew found the small Peugeot van well alight.
A firefighter wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet.

The van was then damped down to make it safe, with temperatures monitored with a thermal imaging camera.
Firefighters were in attendance for around 45 minutes.
It is believed to have been an accidental fire.
