Teenager arrested for assault on emergency worker

A teenager was arrested by Warrington police for assault on an emergency worker following an incident in the town centre.

The 19-year-old male was arrested in Warrington town centre for offences of public order and assault emergency worker and was taken into custody.

In another incident a 36-year-old male was arrested last night in the Birchwood area for a number of offences including assault.

  1. It’s time that an assault on any emergency worker carried an automatic custodial sentence of a minimum of five years with no remission. Our emergency services are over-stretched as it is and people are leaving the service at a faster rate than they’re being recruited.

    • I AGR EE WHOLEHEARTEDLY THEY ARE THERE TO HELP US NOT TO BE HINDERED ANY BODY WHO STOPS THEM OR ASSAULTS SHOULD BE PUT IN JAIL NO TRIAL FOR A LONG TIME BETWEEN 5 AND10 YEARS NO RELEASE TILL SERVED THERE TIME IN FULL
