Fire crews help rescue person trapped in mud at Latchford Locks

FOUR fire crews helped rescue a person trapped in mud at Latchford Locks on Thelwall Lane, on Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after 5pm crews from Birchwood, Widnes, and Warrington along with the rescue boat and one fire engine and the aerial appliance from Lymm, were called out to reports of a person stuck in the mud at the locks.

A person was stuck in mud, ankle-deep, in locks on Thelwall Lane. Attending crews used reaching poles to rescue them and they were then assessed by the ambulance service. The stranded person was located using what3words.
