ROAD closures lasting up to six weeks are scheduled to start on Monday (July 11) for carriageway resurfacing works on the Cromwell Avenue roundabouts at Old hall, Warrington.
Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Cromwell Avenue from its junction with Sankey Way to the roundabout at Old Hall Road/Twenty Acre Road; From Cromwell Avenue for 50 metres along the following lengths of road: Canons Road; Waterways; Old Hall Road (South); Cavendish Close from Cromwell Avenue for 75 metres.
The Order will be effective from 11th July 2022 for 6 weeks, between 7pm and 1am, as and when signed on site.
The works will be undertaken in phases as follows: Phase 1 the roundabout at Cromwell Avenue/Waterways/Canons Road; Phase 2 the roundabout at Cromwell Avenue/Cavendish Close/Old Hall Road (South). Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Sankey Way, Whittle Avenue, Westbrook Way and vice versa. The closure is required for carriageway resurfacing.
