Two more COVID-19 deaths as hospital inpatient numbers continue to rise

TWO more COVID-19 deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital with inpatient numbers continuing to rise.

There were a total of  273  cases week ending June 11  compared to 127  cases week ending June 4, compared to 109 the previous week and 155 the week before that.

While two further deaths have been reported since Thursday, inpatient numbers have also risen again from 28-35 while 11 patients have been discharged.

Current inpatients as of Monday, June 20, 2022 compared to Thursday, June 16 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 35 (28) including 0 (1) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 648 – 309.5 per 100,000 population compared to the England rate of 276.3
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 693 – 331 per 100,000.

There have been 296 (259) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 78,408 – 73,651 1st infections, 4,757 second (78,293) and an infection rate of 141.4 (123.7) per 100,000 which has risen again compared to a rate of 133.3 (113.9) for England.
