MLB Updated 2022 World Series Odds

We are just a little bit over a week away from Memorial Day weekend, and we have a clear picture of what teams in the MLB are good this season and which ones are not.

There will be an expanded playoff field starting this season from 10 to 12 teams. The American League and the National League have different kinds of top teams in their respective leagues.

Point spread betting has been occurring every single night with respective MLB games, though. In the long run though, however, who are updated favourites to win the 2022 MLB World Series?

Los Angeles Dodgers +425

The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently once again the top team in the National League this season. Los Angeles is currently leading the National League West, but they have competition this year with the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants.

The Dodgers won the 2020 World Series and then lost in the NLCS to the Atlanta Braves in 2021. Los Angeles hopes they are winning the World Series title once again in 2022. The Los Angeles Dodgers have a loaded lineup from top to bottom. Freddie Freeman, Justin Turner, and Trea Turner are some of those players.

Cody Bellinger has not been the same. Dave Roberts is the manager of this baseball team. Los Angeles has also one of the most underrated starting rotations in all of baseball. Walker Buehler, Julio Urias, and Clayton Kershaw are some of the key starters on this baseball team. Kenley Jansen is the closer for this baseball team.

New York Yankees +650

The New York Yankees have the second-best odds to win the 2022 MLB World Series. New York has the best record in all of baseball, and they appear to be the best team also in the American League by far. The Yankees also have solid starting pitching this season to go along with their elite offense, but their bullpen can be their downfall because of closer Aroldis Chapman.

Aaron Boone could potentially be the manager of the year in the American League. Aaron Judge should be the favorite right now to win the American League MVP and general manager Brian Cashman needs to pay the man, or he is going to hear it big time from this fanbase. Giancarlo Stanton and Gleyber Torres have also had great years so far up this point for the New York Yankees.

Along with Luis Severino, Nestor Cortes has stepped up his game big time in the starting rotation for this baseball team. The Tampa Bay Rays and the Toronto Blue Jays could still give them problems in the American League East down the road, but don’t buy into that too much, though.

New York Mets +800

The New York Mets have the third-best odds to win the 2022 MLB World Series. New York has the second-best record in the National League, and the Mets are currently running away with the National League East. With Buck Showalter being the manager and team cohesiveness this season, a collapse in the second half of the season seems very unlikely.

The bullpen is shaky for the Mets, but their starting rotation led by Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt is very solid, and they have other leaders in Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso. Starling Marte, Eduardo Escobar, and Mark Cahna are other key veterans in the clubhouse that they signed during the offseason. Edwin Diaz appears to be closing the door shut night in and night out as the New York Mets closer.

Houston Astros +900

The Houston Astros have been the class in the American League for the past several years. Houston is currently leading the America League West over the Los Angeles Angels. The Astros have won the American League the past three-of-five years but have only won one World Series title in 2017 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Dusty Baker is the manager of this baseball team for the Houston Astros. Justin Verlander is still around, and so is Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Yordan Alvarez.
