Council confirm Appleton footpath closure for up to six months to allow new housing development

WARRINGTON Borough Council has confirmed that an Appleton footpath will close for up to six months to allow the construction of new housing development.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which, will be to introduce a footpath closure on Appleton Footpath No. 20 from its junction with Green Lane to its junction with Cann Lane South.

The Order will be effective from 31st January 2022 for up to six months, when signed on site.

Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The closure is required to allow for the construction of a new housing development.

Members of the public have no right to object to temporary closure orders.
