Police investigate suspicious activity in Oakwood and Locking Stumps

RESIDENTS are being asked to be vigilant following reports of suspicious activity in the Oakwood and Locking Stumps areas of Warrington.

Birchwood police were on patrol in the areas last night, paying extra attention to Heather Close following reports of drugs activity in the area.
Additionally, officers encountered suspicious activity on Redshank Lane, which is being followed up on.
Residents are being asked to report suspicious activity, crime or antisocial behaviour to the police on 101.
Meanwhile, Sstaff and pupils at Locking Stumps Primary have been concerned about anti-social behaviour at the community play area adjacent to the school.
PCSO Stefan Titans recently visited the school and said:”Let’s use our community facilities responsibly. Concerns were raised that bottles are being smashed on the site during weekends, with the resulting glass shards posing a hazard to children – not to mention that someone has to clean up the mess!”

  1. It is about time the police took residents safety seriously. This particular area of Heather Close has form with drugs & antisocial behaviour. It is blatantly done in broad daylight.
