The apprenticeships offer the chance to earn while you learn with a weekly salary of £250 per week.
In addition:
-You get to earn a wage whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification – a Level 2 in Horticulture and Landscape Operative standard
-You’ll gain hands on training and real working life experience
-You won’t rack up any student finance debts
-You’ll be in the right place to build a successful career in the landscaping and horticulture industry
Two of the vacancies are in the Grounds Maintenance team and two are in the Landscape team. Both positions are being offered in conjunction with Reaseheath College where the apprentices will attend one day per week in term time to study for a Level 2 in Horticulture and Landscape Operative standard. Beechwood’s Director, Adam Halford, is a former student of Reaseheath himself and knows first hand the quality of teaching at the college.
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative Apprentice your typical working day could include grass cutting using various types of machinery, grass strimming, hedge and shrub pruning, leaf collecting and jet washing.
For the Horticulture Landscape Operative Apprentice you’ll gain experience in planting shrubs and trees, preparing ground for turfing, seeding and planting, manual laying of turf and using small plant machinery such as rotivators, tractors etc.
Beechwood Industries are a multi-disciplined, young and rapidly expanding company who appreciate the value of their employees. They understand that creating a positive and enjoyable working environment directly contributes to the level of service they provide to their clients. Their Apprenticeship scheme has been developed with these principles in mind. The weekly salary on offer is higher than the apprentice minimum wage in recognition of the contribution that the apprentices will make to the business.
