A Trip to Sicily: All you need

In Sicily, there are plenty of exclusive holiday apartments to rent at affordable prices.

What can you see there? We have selected the top 3 destinations, keep reading!

For a weekend or more, the beautiful landscapes, beaches with crystal clear waters, the incredible ancient city, and the Greek temples will be yours!

If you are planning a trip of 2 to 5 days (for the lucky ones!), you will find here the best itineraries, depending on the length of your stay.

To start your stay on the west coast of Sicily, we advise you to land in Palermo instead of Catania. Flight prices are the same for both cities, but to visit this part of Sicily, Palermo is a much better starting point.

The best way to get around your tour in Sicily is undoubtedly by car. You can rent your car in advance on the internet or directly at one of the rental counters at the airport, in the arrival hall.

After picking up your car, go to Palermo and your hotel to leave your luggage. Depending on the arrival time of your flight, you will have the afternoon to start exploring the city. A great way to start your 10-day trip to Sicily!

The Old Town of Palermo is a great place to start your visit to the city

Catania is a beautiful city that offers great options for fantastic tours and even with a few days in Sicily, it is a must stop! Arriving at Catania, after having settled in the hotel of your choice, you can start the tour : the heart of the city, Piazza Duomo. Here you can already see three of Catania’s most beautiful and famous monuments: the Cathedral of Sant’Agata, the Elephant’s Fountain and the Amenano Fountain. How about From Catania: Mount Etna Morning Tour? It is an incredible experience worth to be done at least once in your life !

Trapani is well known for its crystal clear sea, white sand and the sun that never seems to take a holiday from there! It is a millenary city that presents countless monuments of inestimable values. Legend has it that the city was ‘born’ from a scythe fallen from the hands of Saturn, the patron god of the city (hence the half-moon shape).

It takes about 50 minutes by car to reach Scopello de Trapani.

It’s the closest place to one of the absolutely see sites: Zingaro Nature Reserve. There are 2 entries to the reserve: south and north. The south is the closest to Scopello. There is no problem to park, there are big car parks there.

Entrance with reservation costs 5 euros, parking included.

Once you have entered the reservation, you cannot get lost. You just need to follow the path that runs along the waterfront and go to the other entrance. The landscape is simply breath taking! The Reserve is full of small coves and beaches for swimming. You can alternate walking and swimming all day long.

Are you ready? Book now your trip to Sicily!
