Three males arrested following disturbance

THREE males have been arrested by Warrington Police following a disturbance in the Bewsey and Whitecross area of town involving criminal damage and affray.

Response Officers arrested the three males for alleged Criminal Damage following a disturbance in the Bewsey and Whitecross area – one male also under arrest for alleged Affray after he was seen to be walking around with a house brick.
All three males are now in custody pending ongoing investigations.

  1. Three males were not arrested – three men were arrested.

    Male is an adjective so needs an noun to qualify, e.g., male giraffes, male penguins. If you mean male people then they are commonly known as men.

    Someone has been watching too much American television.

    • We have to refer to them as males as that is the term used by the police. It would be wrong for us to automatically refer to them as men, as they may be boys aged under 18 (Juveniles) so we stick with the male gender of the species.
