THE Warrington 4 Brexit campaign group are planning a celebratory party on Friday, January 31 at Woolston Social Club on Manchester Road, – the venue of their regular campaign meetings.

There will be a buffet, DJ and entertainment at the event with the “highlight” of the evening being the countdown to 11.00 pm when the UK is due to finally leave the EU.

Organisers say media interest in the event has been high with ITV planning to broadcast live at the start of the party between 6.00 pm and 6.30 pm and then again at 11.00 pm for
the historic moment when Britain leaves.

A representative for Warrington 4 Brexit will also be interviewed about the party and the group’s protest activities on BBC Radio Manchester Breakfast Show the day before Brexit Day, on Thursday, January 30, a 7.50 am.

A Warrington 4 Brexit spokesperson said: “Today marks a year since our first demonstration at the Skittles Market Gate and we end as we started – a genuinely grassroots, cross-party group, committed to ensuring that the decision to leave the EU made in the 2016 referendum would be honoured. It’s been a tough and challenging year, but we kept faith with British democracy and our belief that eventually the will of the British people would win through. We now hope that everyone in the town can move on and Warringtonians can come together again and re-unite.”

The spokesperson added: “We still have a few tickets remaining for the Brexit Party on Friday 31st January, at a price of £7.50 each (which includes buffet and DJ), which is taking place at Woolston Social Club (formerly Woolston British Legion), 50 Manchester Road, WA1 4AD.

Anyone interested in buying a ticket should visit the Warrington 4 Brexit Facebook page to do so which can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/Warrington4Brexit

  1. “We now hope that everyone in the town can move on and Warringtonians can come together again and re-unite.”

By rubbing Remainers’ faces in the dirt and celebrating and laughing at them? Not a chance.

Brexit is a disaster for the UK and every single one of the people in these photos is to blame.

    • Yawn… Still fighting the referendum of 2016 I see.
The EU is not the EEC and we weren’t taken into that legitimately.
Brexit is a rebalancing of the inequity that should never have been necessary.
You don’t like the party taking place, that’s fine, you’ve not bought a ticket.
Feel free to have a party yourself and have a nice evening.
Meanwhile this group of newly found friends will enjoy each others company, share tales, food and drink and look forward to a new positive chapter with a global focus and no more EU inequality.

      • A load of nonsensical slogans and meaningless buzzwords won’t bring any benefits. Nor will recreating VE Day in the British Legion. Gloating about your ‘victory’ at your small-minded Little England party only increases the division in society.

Brexit only increases inequality and people like you are to blame. There are absolutely no positives to Brexit only negatives. You have brought disaster on us all and your behaviour will never bring the UK back together.
