Music legend brings a night of blues and rock to Parr Hall

PARR HALL has announced an unmissable night of live music as guitar guru Kenny Wayne Shepherd brings a night of blues and rock to town.

Utter the phrase “young blues guitarist” within earshot of anyone with even a cursory knowledge of modern music and the first name they are likely to respond with will be Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

Still barely in his 30s, the Louisiana-born musician has been selling millions of albums, throwing singles into the Top 10, shining a light on the rich blues of the past and forging ahead with his own modern twist on a classic sound – a niche that he perfected while still in his teens.

At just seven years old, he met Stevie Ray Vaughan, then shared the stage with New Orleans legend Bryan Lee at just 13. As an adult, he continues to create genre-defining, blues-infused rock ‘n’ roll.

To date, he is widely considered to be one of the industry’s best blues and rock guitarists – James Brown once referred to him as “one of the wonders of the world” – and has had six No.1 blues albums and a string of No.1 mainstream rock singles.

Now he is heading to Warrington for an unforgettable night of musical mastery.

Performing at Parr Hall on Friday October 23 2020, this is set to be a real highlight of the new year!

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Monday December 16; visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org or call Box Office on 01925 442345.
