HEAVY overnight rain led to more flood misery for residents of Densham Avenue, Warrington
Firefighters were called to the Longford area in the early hours of today after about 20 houses were hit by flooding.
They visited all the affected properties to carry out welfare checks and see if any assistance was required.
A number of resident chose to evacuate their homes as a precautionary measure.

  1. Maybe if the council pulls their fingers out to sort the drains out then this wont keep happening and the same goes for the one under hawleys lane bridge…getting beyond the joke..wheres the respect for these poor ppl having to keep putting up with this when its caused by heavy downpours…wake up warrington borough council and start shaping up

  2. For the last three weeks it has been reported that hawleys lane was flooded. The warning signs alerted people to this last night when i was out at 7pm.
Yet once again this morning some (insert whatever description you like) decided that their car was capable of driving through it.
it is about time the fire brigade started charging for rescue of these people. how did they ever get a license?
