WHEN Patrick Dowler moved to Belong Warrington his beloved wife Judith thought they would never celebrate their wedding anniversary again.
But the care village team based on Loushers Lane, pulled out all the stops and on their 43rd anniversary, turned a part of the village’s Bistro into a romantic restaurant, with a three-course meal and a personal waiter to complete the setting on their special day.
Team members from the not-for-profit village, which specialises in class-leading dementia care, went above and beyond to provide a memorable romantic evening for Patrick and Judith.
The stylish village Bistro prepared and served the three-course meal and the Bistro Assistant, Karl Downs dressed in a suit and bow tie to act as the couple’s personal waiter.
The experience day team, responsible for organising innovative activities at the village, arranged beautiful flowers, whilst the household support workers put together a playlist based on the couple’s favourite music, including the Beatles, which was suggested by their daughter Gemma.
Claire Bibby, general manager at Belong Warrington, commented: “We are thrilled that we were able to bring this lovely couple together on their special day. At Belong we put the customer at the heart of all we do and our staff were truly dedicated to ensure Mr and Mrs Dowler could enjoy their anniversary celebrations.”
