TV star heads to Parr Hall with candid stand-up show

TV presenter and comedian Alexander Armstrong is embarking on his first ever stand-up tour, which will be calling in at Warrington Parr Hall this Saturday (Nov 9).

Alexander will be baring all on his latest tour All Mouth and Some Trousers; expect candid stories, laughter, music and some relief that “baring all” is just a figurative expression.

Known as one half of comedy double act Armstrong and Miller and the presenter of BBC One’s Pointless, Alexander also narrates children’s favourite Hey Duggee and presents on Classic FM.

He said: “I’ve kind of made a career out of saying yes to a lot of things.

“I currently have a demographic reach that goes from Hey Duggee, which is a preschool programme I make for CBeebies, I narrate that – I guess they start watching that at about six months – and Pointless, which I guess people stop watching when they stop watching everything.”

Coming to Parr Hall on Saturday November 9, Alexander is looking forward to trying something a little different on his first ever stand-up tour.

He said: “By and large I can never really tell the difference between feeling very, very excited about something or absolutely bricking it and I think I’m very, very excited about this.”

Tickets priced £29.50 are on sale now; visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org or call Box Office on 01925 442345.
