CHARITY money has come pouring in following the 9th annual Lymm Beer Festival in Warrington following another great turnout from the ale and gin-loving public.
A record breaking £7,500 was raised at the popular two-day event, boosted by the main sponsorship from Warrington-based Urban Building Projects Ltd, specialists in domestic and commercial building, silver sponsorship from Triathlon Battery Components, and Gin bar sponsorship from MKM Building Supplies Warrington.
The numerous cask ales, ciders, wines and premium gins on offer at Lymm Village Hall, along with kebabs from restaurant Grill On The Cross, baked goods from Sextons, and beer and wine provided by The Wine Kitchen ensured all attendees went home well fed and watered.
Matt Owen, who led the festival organisation, said: “Our successful formula of great beers and the very popular Gin bar run by Lymm Ladies Circle has once again gone down a storm. Both days were a fantastic success with customers of all ages enjoying great music and glorious sunshine on Saturday afternoon. This year we also introduced a Lymm Beer Festival app which gave adventurous customers the chance to spin a Brewoulette wheel to choose a beer!”
“I’d like to thank all our customers, sponsors, musicians, suppliers and volunteers who created such a fantastic atmosphere. We are already looking forward to next year’s event!”
