WARRINGTON & Vale Royal College is encouraging adults to return to the classroom this September.
This year the college has enhanced its adult education offer to include even more part-time and full-time, higher education, professional and leisure courses. So whether you want to change your career, develop your skills or discover a new hobby, there’s something to suit all interests and levels of ability.
New courses for 2019 include Bookkeeping, Life Coaching and Law & Practice, ranging from introductory courses to diplomas.
Former Media Make-up student Rayner Cunniffe, who lives in Warrington and features on the college’s new adult course guide amongst a host of other inspiring adult students, is now employed a Media Make-up lecturer at the college. She said: “After I had my daughter I knew I had to find a career that was flexible and could support us. Applying make-up came naturally to me and I picked it up easily.”
Warrington student Graeme Myall progressed from the college’s I Am I Can course to Counselling Skills Level 2. Graeme said: “I’ve a new sense of self-pride and motivation. I’ve made lots of new friends who I can really relate to. Coming to college is the highlight of my week!”
The college is also encouraging adults to consider apprenticeships, which are often falsely identified as only available for 16 – 18 year olds.
