Where eagles dare!

Eagles Palace Resort sits on the edge of the crystal clear waters on the Aegean Sea in Halkidiki and is made up of two sites.

This year Diane and Sandra were extremely lucky to be invited to sample this beautiful resort, which is divided into a Hotel and Villas, catering for couples, singles and families.

Diane and her husband stayed at the Eagles Palace hotel, where they sampled a few of the many activities on offer, making Baklava, learning traditional Greek dancing and sailing in the hotel’s speed boat with a skipper. The hotel also provides a free shuttle bus to the village, Ouranoupolis, approximately 10 minutes away and is a beautiful coastal drive. The village has a ferry port from where you can take sight seeing cruises. However, for the less energetic the hotel’s private beach provides free sun beds with parasols, jugs of iced water, fresh fruit and towels when required. Enjoy a drink at the ‘swim-up’ bar before changing for dinner to sample the delights at one of the four restaurants.

Sandra and her husband stayed at the exclusive Eagles Villas, which opened in 2017. A winding road leads guests from the Palace up the hill to the restaurant and pool, with the villas leading off on each side, all arranged for maximum privacy. Each of the villas offer sea views, private heated pools (cleaned daily), decking areas with sunbeds and an outside seating area. Villas are available with one, two or three bedrooms making this option perfect for families. The facilities at the Palace Hotel are available to guests staying in the villas, but they do have their own check-in, reception, restaurant, pools, gym and bar. Guests on half board take their breakfast and dinner in the buffet restaurant; serving delicious, fresh food. Being situated on the top of the hills; views are spectacular across the bay to Mount Athos.
