Man, 24, robbed of cash in park at Latchford

POLICE at Warrington today appealed for witnesses to come forward following a robbery in Latchford.
The offence took place shortly after 2pm on Friday, January 25, but the appeal was delayed because the victim did not report it to police until Tuesday, February 5.
A 24-year-old man was walking through the park off Loushers Lane when he was approached by an unknown man.
The man threatened the victim and stole a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
He also caused an injury to the victim’s finger which required hospital treatment.
The offender was described as a man wearing a dark coloured hooded top and a dark coloured scarf over his face.
Detective Constable John Parry said: “The victim has been left shaken as a result of this incident and we are committed to doing all that we can to trace the person responsible.
“Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and I’m keen to hear from anyone with information that could assist our investigation.
“I’d specifically like to hear from anyone who was in the park off Loushers Lane around the time of the incident and believes they may have witnessed anything suspicious.
“I’m also keen to hear from any motorists with dashcams who were driving on Loushers Lane between 1.30pm and 3.00pm.”
