WARRINGTON North MP Helen Jones visited the regional head office of car rental firm Enterprise to have a tour of the site and to meet with their staff members.
The firm – whose local headquarters are at Westbrook – has been recognised as one of the top 50 employers for women.
Ms Jones said: “ I was very pleased to have been invited to Enterprise’s North West head office and to hear more about the work which they do and the employment opportunities which they provide for Warrington North residents.
“I was delighted to be able to speak to their staff and have a tour of their excellent facility. It is vitally important that we do all we can to attract companies like Enterprise to Warrington North in order to provide good jobs for local residents.
“We also discussed the importance of ensuring that our young people are properly equipped with the skills they need to succeed in the workplace once they leave education.
“Enterprise have been recognised by The Times as one of the top 50 employers for women and it is important that other companies also take the lead in creating a working environment which is positive for women.”

  1. Does this really constitute ‘news’? Are we really expected to believe that businesses are really falling over themselves to invite the MP in for a tour? Or is it the case of Helen touting herself to all and sundry too simply generate some positive publicity for herself? It would be refreshing to hear details of what (if any) positive steps Helen does to help her residents in Warrington North rather than frankly embarrassing self-publicity pieces like this.
