VIDEO:WARRINGTON Wolves’ new head coach Steve Price says he will not be rushed into making any more new signings although there are still one or two places available for next season’s squad.

Price, who arrived in town last Thursday, says he has been surprised by the size of the town and is looking forward to helping fill the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

“I am living in the heart of the community and it is important to embrace that,” he said.

Price says he has had a passion about becoming a coach in the English Super League and has been given the opportunity at a “great club” with “fantastic facilities”.

He says there is an opportunity to add at least one new signing to the squad for next season, but will not be rushed into making any decisions.

Meanwhile his Number Two, former London Broncos Head Coach Andrew Henderson, is excited by the opportunity at Warrington Wolves and is keen on developing a pathway for the youngsters coming through the Academy – with four joining the first team squad this week.

*Editor’s Note: I had the pleasure of bumping into the new coaching team at the Saracen’s Head on Wilderspool Causeway, after their first training day, last night. It is great to see them working late into the evening as a team in the local community. They were welcoming and engaging and having now done my first “live” interviews with them I am hopeful the club has unearthed some real diamonds to take it to the next level. Their predecessor did a great job over the past nine years and has left a legacy to build on.
