It was a day of double celebration as the Labour Borough Councillor was re-elected at Penketh.

In the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire election Mr Keane polled a total of 84601 votes against Mr Dwyer’s 81652.

The result reflected the near total collapse of the Conservative vote in the local elections in Warrington.
