A WARM welcome awaits at the Spice Lounge Indian Restaurant in Culcheth where customer service is second to none.
From the moment you step through the front door until the moment you leave you are accorded hospitality of the highest level from a friendly team, who are more than helpful in ensuring your stay is an enjoyable one.
Judging by the numbers dining on a Friday evening The Spice Lounge is a popular dining out venue.
While the restaurant was busy it did not detract from the high level of customer care or speed of service.
The purpose built restaurant has a modern decor and an exciting and extensive menu – and has certainly become a major asset to the village.
The menu includes everything you could wish for, including a section dedicated to those who are not a particular fan of hot and spicy curries.
Our party was a mixture of those who enjoy a hot curry and those who prefer the milder options and all left happy and most certainly heartily full.
For those who did not fancy a hot and spicy dish the Chicken Tikka Massalla was a most enjoyable dish, involving tender pieces of kebabs in a blend of tomatoes, butter, cream, ground almonds cooked in a mild flavoured sauce with fresh herbs and spices.
At the other end of the spectrum the Nepalese chicken, described as very hot, also proved most enjoyable as one of the signature dishes at the restaurant.
This dish is cooked using fresh green chillies, garlic, ginger, red onions and Nepalese chilli sauce. Fresh lemon juice, leaves a sharp taste in your mouth. A very tasty hot and spicy dish!
There are so many different dishes to choose from, your main problem will be deciding what to have – but if you need any help deciding, one of the friendly staff is always close on hand to offer expert advice.
For added value the Spice Lounge also offers a 20 per cent discount for people wishing to dine before 6pm or after 9.30pm.
With the venue being extremely popular for special occasions booking is always adviseable.

  1. That soudns really great. I’m already thinking of renting a DS when they release that cookbook to try it. I like the “personal chef” aspect of it.For cooking inspiration, I often watch the Food Network channel. Some of the shows will use expensive ingredients while others are focused on making dinner on a shoestring (and a tight schedule!).
