Wood, who has been awarded the testimonial after 10 years loyal service with the club kick starts his season with a high profile friendly fixture against his home town club, Wigan Warriors, on Wednesday January, 27 kick off 7.30pm, at The Halliwell Jones Stadium with all of the Wolves’ proceeds going to Wood’s Testimonial fund.
Wood, who has just returned from warm weather training in Tenerife with his team mates, says he has experienced the best pre-season training since joining the club. He joined Warrington from Ince St Williams in 1999.
Tickets for the game will start from just £13 for adults standing and £5 for concessions and juniors. Family tickets will be available from £30 (two adults and two juniors). Hospitality is available by emailing [email protected].
Paul has amassed over 200 appearances for the Wolves since making his debut in September 2000 against Wakefield.
He was won caps for both Great Britain and England was rewarded with both Players’ Player and Coaches Player of the Year in 2006.
He works tirelessly within the local community and has recently taken up a head coach’s role with the Wolves’ scholarship programme.
