WARRINGTON Wizards entertain East Leeds in the Carnegie Challenge Cup
Preliminary Round this coming Saturday afternoon, kick off 1.30pm at
Wilderspool Stadium.
POINTS were at a premium as Lymm were held to a 3-3 draw by visitors West Hartlepool on a dry, sunny day, with no wind.
LYMM suffered a disappointing defeat to bottom of the league Altrincham
Kersal who deserved their 20-10 victory as they were the better team on
the day.

WARRINGTON Wizards had their first hit out of the 2012 season when they
entertained Rochdale Hornets Under 23s at Crosfields and in an exciting
encounter they came out narrow winners in a game that was sadly cut
short just after the hour mark following a serious ankle injury suffered
by Hornets hooker Jamie Trantum.

WARRINGTON athlete Alex Wort, 19, has been selected for Great Britain in
an indoor combined-events international against France and Spain in
Cardiff on March 24.
School boys bid for quarter-finals

WARRINGTON Under 15’s Schoolboys team have progressed to the last 16 of
the English Schools FA National Cup competition with a home tie this
weekend for a place in the quarter-finals.

LYMM got back to winning ways with a scrappy 20-15 victory over Beverley as windy conditions spoiled the match for both teams making handling very difficult.
