A cold nip in the air gave a fitting wintery feel to the Culcheth Christmas Market to start the festive season which proved popular and well supported.
Many hundreds of Warrington people gathered at the Town Hall, lined the streets and then massed at the Cenotaph to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and to commemorate the centenary of Armistice Day after World War 1.
Local Primary schools Oakwood Avenue and Christ Church united for a touching service of Remembrance for their fallen old boys.
This year being the 100th since the end of WW1, local schools have been encouraged to make their Remembrance events very personal as they trace the stories of their lost soldiers.
