Town frozen out!

THE big freeze means Warrington Town face a second weekend with no

action following confirmation from Durham that tomorrow’s league game is

off – with their all weather pitch more than a foot under snow!
Warrington’s proposed league game at home to Cammell Laird next Tuesday evening is also highly likely to be called off, with the Cantilever Park ground frozen rock solid, with temperatures around the town reaching -12 earlier today!
The big freeze in January this year saw Town go six weeks without a game!
The cold snap has come just at the wrong time for Warrington who had just started to hit good form with back to back victories over Trafford and high flying Chorley, with new signing Chris Thompson starting to find his feet in the team, scoring three goals in the two league victories.
Manager Joey Dunn is planning to keep the players fit with some fitness training in the gym thanks to the club’s principal sponsors Warrington Collegiate providing facilities at their Winwick Road campus.
