POLICE at Warrington are investigating after racist taunts and threats were daubed on a number of walls.
They are appealing for help from the public because they believe the offenders may have sprayed paint on themselves, or their clothing and may smell of paint.
The incident was reported at 9am on Saturday.
During the night, the walls of a shop in Thelwall Lane, Latchford were sprayed with graffiti which was racing and threatening in content. Graffiti was also sprayed at other locations nearby.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information which could identify the person, or persons, responsible, or who may have witnessed the offence taking place.
The graffiti was sprayed in black and white paint, and it is possible that those responsible may have the paint on their skin, shoes, or clothing, or may have smelled of paint fumes.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact DS Chris Nightingale at Warrington CID on 0845 458 0000.
Alternatively, information can be left anonymously on the Crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.
