Town going for promotion!

WARRINGTON Town are going for promotion – on and off the field, with a brand new promotional DVD to help raise the profile of the club around the town.
It features action from the club’s historic sell out clash against Chester FC earlier this season at a packed Cantilever Park with the club’s barmy army (pictured right) in full voice.
It will be used during visits to schools, local community groups and businesses to show the potential future for a successful football club in Warrington.
It is supported by Warrington Wolves Chairman Steven Broomhead, who has shown his support of the club at a number of games over the past couple of seasons.
Mr Broomhead says the town would benefit enormously from having two successful sports teams, rubbishing comments from some in the community that the town will never have a successful football team because it is a rugby league town.
The club’s fortures have been transformed over the last couple of seasons from a team nearly always involved in the relegation dog fight, to a team competing with the best in the league and pushing for promotion.
The profile of the club has also reached new heights thanks to a number of high profile sponsorship agreements with Warrington Collegiate, Tailormade Group, Warrington Borough Transport and the Environment Agency along with a number of other local businesses including TnM Couriers and Liam James Lettings.
The latest boost has been a £50,000 grant from Waste Recycling Environmental Limited (WREN) , a not-for-profit business that helps benefit the lives of people who live close to landfill sites, towards providing two five a side pitches at the ground to benefit local community groups and enhanced training facilities.
The money is being donated to the club’s not for profit arm, the Warrington Town Academy.
