Blythe signs contract extension

LOCAL player Matty Blythe has agreed a new one-year contract with Warrington Wolves keeping him at the club until November 2011.
Matty came through the Wolves Scholarship scheme with William Beamont School and in 2006 and 2007 played representative rugby for England Academy.
A junior with Rylands and Leigh Miners Rangers he is one of many Wolves players who has benefited from the support of Squadbuilder. Matty turned full-time professional for the first time in 2008.
Matty scored a try in his first-team appearance last year having been named in the starting 13 against Wakefield away from home. Last season Matty was one of three young players who benefited from dual registration with Leigh Centurions allowing him to gain regular playing experience.
