WARRINGTON Wolves new shirt sponsor Bensons for Beds are pledging £1,000 for charity every time the team wins a Super League game next season.
For every game the Wolves win Bensons will donate £1000 to be divided equally between The Wolves Charitable Foundation and Help for Heroes.
To launch the sponsorship deal and this new venture Bensons will be holding a bed push on Monday November 1 at 2.30pm.
Representatives from the 1 Mercian Regiment of the Army will be on hand to push a bed from Bensons for Beds Winwick Road store to The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Dave Hutchinson, Wolves Sales and Marketing Controller, said: “This is an exciting new beginning for the Wolves with our new main sponsors. It shows great commitment and attitude which will benefit the Warrington community through the work of our charitable Foundation and also greatly assist the relentless situation of our forces in current conflict situations, many of which are from the north west. Based on last season this would equate to £10,000 for each charity……let’s hope it’s more in 2011!”
Simon Williams, Head of Marketing at Bensons for Beds, added: “We wanted our sponsorship to be more than simply putting our brand on the front of the Wolves’ shirts. This demonstrates our commitment to helping some great causes in the local community and to supporting our injured servicemen and women.”
